Technology Is Life

A curated tool archive designed to help builders, scientists, students, teachers, and everyday users discover the right technology tools. The site features a searchable, filterable database of 100+ tools spanning AI imaging, development, design, business productivity, and more.

This project pushed AI-assisted development further than a simple brochure site. The filtering engine, JSON-driven data architecture, and multi-layered search system were all built through iterative AI collaboration — testing how complex interactive features could emerge from conversational development.

What Made This an Exploration

• Building a custom multi-layered filtering engine (category, user type, pricing) entirely through AI-assisted iteration
• JSON-driven architecture — all tool data lives in structured JSON files, making the database easy to update without touching HTML
• Real-time search with dynamic filter pills, active filter display, and intelligent no-results states
• Exploring the boundary between static site and web application — no backend, no build process, but full interactive functionality

Design Highlights

Dark theme with teal accent color. Space Grotesk and Inter typography. Nine tool categories with emoji-driven visual identifiers. The filtering system supports combined category, user-type, and pricing filters with real-time results counts. Blog section, newsletter signup, and a planned Printful-integrated shop — all running as pure static assets on CloudFront.
